Orem Drug Rehab is Utah’s premiere substance abuse treatment center that specializes in treating both the alcohol and drug use disorder as well as a wide variety of mental health disorders.

For those that are unaware of what the term “dual-diagnosis” or “co-occurring” disorders are; here is a very simple explanation.

A co-occuring treatment facility is one that is able to competently provide master level clinical care to treat the underlying causes and conditions of drug and alcohol addiction and mental disorders.
We are able to provide both of these extremely important services to all of our clientele on a regular basis. Between our list of professionals (Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Medical Doctors, Suboxone Doctors, Physicians, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Substance Use Disorder Counselors (SUDC), etc.) available throughout our different facilities we represent, we are confident we can place the perfect fit for your individual and specific needs.

If one is ever expected to heal, then you must address all of the issues. Not just the actual use of illicit substances but the actual catalysts for initiating the drug seeking behaviors. Orem Drug Rehab believes and understands that drugs and alcohol are not the problem but rather the solution to your problems. Point in case…if you take away the drug addiction and alcoholism from an addict, we ask…does their problems go away with their substance abuse? The answer is a resounding NO.

“Why”…you may be asking yourself? Well the answer is simple! Drugs create a secondary set of problems that are very real and life threatening in fact. However, they are not the client’s number one reasons (problems) you or a loved one is using. You see, the addict turns toward drugs and alcohol addiction in order to cope with all of their life problems that are currently and have been left unaddressed for many years in most cases.

This means they have unknowingly developed a faulty coping mechanism that they think is serving them well. In all reality, all they have successfully done is found out a way to be able to avoid all of their problems and to not have to “feel or think” about any of their problems. Drugs and alcohol put the addict through a cryogenic freezing if you will?

This means, the addict has incidentally stunted their emotional and spiritual growth drastically! They no longer are able to use healthy mechanisms to deal with the necessary life lessons as they have completely disregarded their “opportunities” for learning enhancement. This is where a qualified Utah Addiction Center for residential treatment centers and outpatient rehab come in.

Orem Drug Rehab helps you address the abuse, turmoil and trauma (physical, emotional and sexual) that has in most cases never been dealt with before. After so much time has passed with neglecting your feelings and issues, you are bound to develop various mental health conditions. It is almost 100% guaranteed that any alcoholic or client  addicted to heroin, benzos, cocaine, marijuana, etc. (you get the point here) has developed at a bare minimum symptoms relating to depression and anxiety.

These two mental health disorders can kill a human being if left untreated! It is widely accepted among the treatment professional community that if a human being suffers with moderate to severe depression for more than two (2) weeks, then they are susceptible to suicide. Another form of “long-term suicide” for the drug addict beyond the daily use, is the dreaded heroin overdose or emergency visit to a alcohol detox or drug detox at any nearby hospitals in Salt Lake City (Utah University Hospital).

Orem Drug Rehab has personally seen it all too much and therefore makes it a true priority to make sure the vulnerable client is able to have ALL of their personal problems addressed and not just sent to a Utah Drug Rehab only to become sober for a few months having never learned how to cope/deal with their life stressors on a regular daily basis no matter how hard things become.

This is the main difference between what makes a great facility and a mediocre one. If rehab centers in Utah only focus on sobriety then they have missed the mark. The client will have developed a false sense of confidence thinking they have a few months of clean time behind the belt and never really got honest or brave enough to talk about their sexual trauma, etc. they will surely fall flat on their face again very soon. Mark our words here!

Orem Drug Rehab wishes it was wrong, but in all of our experiences the addict must address the real reasons they started to use in the first place. To add insult to injury, the client now has to deal with their problems and is not able to escape through the use of drugs at all conditions. If the stressor causes the client to release, then we propose that the client was never in recovery.

We believe this because sobriety is a matter of learning how not to use (which is the majority of all  rehabilitation centers in Utah teach their clientele and neglect to dig deep enough to figure out what is going on). Recovery is the process of learning all of the different coping skills and not resorting to using no matter how hard the situation becomes. After all, is not his what life is truly all about?

If you are too afraid to look like in the eyes and take on any challenge thrown at you, then you will most assuredly fail and die prematurely due to a severe drug or alcohol addiction. This is why Orem Drug Rehab intervenes and will do everything in our power to get you the help you drastically need.

You can finally rest assured that we will make sure you are able to not just achieve sobriety, but true and lasting recovery. If you are ready to take the next step and address your mental health disorders, as well as drug abuse in the best addiction recovery program with some of the best therapists in Utah; please call us now!
